My Experience at Work: Part I
Experiences at Training.

I joined office on 21st August 2006. It was Monday. I arrived a day before joining date on Sunday in the evening. Happy i arrived to the campus but was stopped short by security who demanded my identity proof alongside the offer letter. BANG!! now where were all identity proofs i started wondering.. in the bag?....no, in the suitcase?.....no, in the handbag?
oh! god i cant recall anything...my mom packed my bags. So there i was opening all my luggage at the gate on the roadside and franatically searching through it all. In the start i was embarrased but then i saw everybody doing the same thing and my lips spread to a smile. My friend pooja was searching one bag and i was searching the other one. I finally found my passport hidden in my clothes(perhaps my mom hid it for the fear of being stolen :))
With the passport in my hand and half open luggage (i couldnt manage to close it all). I proceeded to the gate where they told me to go and mark my arrival with the lady holding the chart, at first i could not see her through all the crowd and a long line, I went and stood at the end of it. I had studied at school that a line is unending but it was first time i actually got a chance to observe that.
As the line grew behind my back i started to feel lucky, I was ahead of so many people :D
Finally my chance came with a good news and a bad news. Good news was yes i was on the list and bad news was the guest house inside was full and we were to move to a "nearby" hotel (45 minutes drive). so there i was struggling with my luggage to close my bags completely.
I then pushed my way to a crowded van, suddenly caught in the mob i got into the van with no idea where my luggage was. "It has been boarded in the other van", assured a dark man from srcurity, Clutching to my handbag i sat in the van making myself as small as possible under the fear that gate of the van might give away under pressure.
Mumbling "Hanuman chailsa" i got down one peace at the good looking hotel, and ran to the other van apparently having my luggage. One bag was recovered while other missing, which was recovered later in the yet another van. taking my luggage one by one i somehow got to the recpetion marked by two long lines for male and female. i left my luggage in one corner and stood to the end of the line of females, hallucinating about a death in queue due to waiting. I was still hallucinating when i heard a bang from behind, a girl was lying on the floor. Was she dead?
Could one actually die in the line? Was i next? Then i realised she was now sitting on stairs and was being given "NImbu paani" then she was given the keys to her room, lift was to carry her and her luggage with an attendant to escort her to her room, at the same time, i saw a girl climbing the stairs with a bag on the shoulder and a suitcase in her hand...i think she was that girl's(who fainted) room mate. I imagined myself climibing all those stairs similarly then i let my gaze fall on the queue outside the lift. Can i be the next? can i also faint the similar way?
Damn!! why doesn't this happen to me? "Mam, its your turn", i heard somebody say. "He is talking to you". Girl behing said softly in my ear. I got the keys, collected my luggage, went and stood in the queue outside the lift, hoping not to see one untill next day.
